An Afternoon of Japanese Culture
The children in Pre-Prep were treated to a lovely afternoon of Japanese singing, music and stories. The children learned a traditional Japanese story that relates to Tanabata--The Star Festival where people write down their wishes and hang them on bamboo trees. After the story the children had a chance to write their own wishes and hang them outside in our garden.
The children were also treated to a lovely choir performance of a variety of Japanese songs. They even got to hear Let it Go in Japanese!
Many thanks to the Sakura Ladies for coming and teaching the children about Japanese culture.
