Guided Reading will be done three times a week in Years 1 and 2. Children will be put in various groups to extend their reading ability and each group will read together and work on phonetic sounds and spellings as well as answer questions based on the book they read.

Individual Reading

In addition to Guided Reading, children will also be heard reading on an individual basis by a member of staff twice weekly. All books will be changed as 
needed.
